Does your nonprofit organization raise money?  If so, most states’ laws require registration prior to fundraising in that state.  Clearly Compliant takes the guesswork out of charitable solicitation registration.  We complete a thorough assessment of your fundraising status, prepare all necessary forms for initial registration, complete renewals and extensions, and keep track of important due dates.

The Clearly Compliant Process

At Clearly Compliant (CC) we have a four step process to ensure confidence in regulatory compliance and continued communication.

  1. Assessment:  Clearly Compliant will work with your nonprofit organization to determine, based on your fundraising database, grant application records, and planned fundraising initiatives, in which states your organization needs to complete charitable solicitation registration.
  2. Registration:  Clearly compliant will complete all the registration forms required by each state and help you determine supporting documentation requirements.  We will forward the forms for appropriate signature(s) and complete the filing in each state.  Copies of executed filings will be provided, with secure electronic copies maintained by Clearly Compliant.  We are committed to environmentally sound practices and attempt to keep paperwork to a minimum, using electronic communication when reasonable.
  3. On-going Annual Reporting: State registration renewals, financial reporting, and extensions will be monitored and completed by Clearly Compliant as outlined above.
  4. On-going Communication: CC will provide, at no cost, an e-newsletter with updated information, legal reviews, notices of changing state law, and articles on best practices for the nonprofit world.
